Angélica Celaya is an actress best known for playing the late Jenni Rivera in the Telemundo series ‘Jenni Rivera: Mariposa de Barrio.’ The series, which premiered in 2017, chronicled the rise of singer Jenni Rivera. Jenni tragically died in a plane crash in 2012. The show recently debuted on Netflix in 2021 and became a hit for the streaming service. Before her breakout role, Angélica notably starred in the TV drama ‘Constantine.’ She was a scene-stealer as Mary ‘Zed’ Martin, but the show only ran for one season. In addition to ‘Mariposa de Barrio,’ the actress has also appeared on ‘Castle,’ ‘Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders,’ and ‘Preso No. 1.’ She’s had roles in films like ‘Skin in the Game’ and ‘Danger One.’ Angélica has a son, Angel Alessandro, with Mexican boxer Luis Garcia.
