DANNY Mac and Beverley Knight are teaming up for a pantomime extravaganza at the Birmingham Hippodrome.

They are both starring in Cinderella in the 2017 Christmas panto season - here's the lowdown...

What is the Cinderella panto starring Danny Mac and Beverley Knight?

Fans of panto will be flocking to Birmingham's Hippodrome to see the most magical panto of them all, Cinderella.

Starring Stictly Come Dancing finalist Danny Mac who will be joined by legendary soul-diva Beverley Knight, making her pantomime debut.

The spectacular will feature all of the ingredients required for a perfect panto: great music, laugh-out-loud comedy, special effects and of course a great cast for the audience to boo an hiss at.

When can I got and see the Cinderella panto?

The panto is set to run this Christmas starting on Tuesday December 19 through to Sunday January 29 2018.

There will be a matinée and evening performance on most days.

The Hippodrome is laying on two special "relaxed" performances on Wednesday January 24 2018.  These shows are specially adapted to create a more calming atmosphere for audience members with Autism Spectrum Condition, sensory and communication disorders or a learning disability.

In addition to these relaxed shows, there are also access performances which will be captioned, signed, and audio described.  There are also Touch Tours available to give visually impaired patrons the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the set, props and costumes.

Who is Danny Mac?

Danny Mac is an actor on Hollyoaks who won the hearts of the nation when he appeared on Strictly Come Dancing 2016.

He finished as runner-up with partner Oti Mabuse despite being the highest scoring male celebrity on average scores to ever appear on the show.

Danny is believed to have recently married his long-term girlfriend, former Hollyoaks co-star Carly Stenson.

Who is Beverley Knight?

Beverley Knight is an English soul singer-songwriter who released her first album in 1995.

She was awarded an MBE in 2007 in recognition of her charity work and her contribution to British music and has won three MOBOs.

Beverley supported Prince and also sang at the London 2012 Paralympic Opening Ceremony.

She made her debut into musical theatre in 2013 in the lead role in The Bodyguard.
