Sunday Brunch star Simon Rimmer heartbroken as he reveals hes been forced to close his rest

SUNDAY Brunch host Simon Rimmer has been left heartbroken after being forced to close down his famous restaurant.

The passionate foodie took to Instagram today to announce Greens Didsbury will no longer operate after 33 years in business.

Gutted Simon, 60, explained that spiralling costs and a rent hike had all contributed to the popular eatery's demise.

Visibly moved, Simon admitted he was "heartbroken" and had never expected to make the announcement.

He said: "With great sadness we have had to close the doors on Greens Didsbury for good after 33 fantastic years.

"We can no longer make it work - Our landlord has increased our rent by 35%, that together with increases in power, food and staff costs have made it impossible for us to continue.
